Lauren O’Connor is a Sydney-based artist whose abstract paintings explore the relationship between landscape, memory and human experience. Through vibrant colour, gestural mark-making and layered forms, she reimagines the natural world, capturing its rhythms, energy and emotional resonance. A graduate of the National Art School, O’Connor was awarded the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship in 2023. She has been a finalist in numerous Australian art prizes, including the Mosman Art Prize and Paddington Art Prize, and her work is featured in Amber Creswell Bell’s Australian Abstract.
