How To Pack Your Hat
From sun-drenched holidays to weekend strolls, our step-by-step guides help keep your hat travel-ready and in perfect shape.
Rolling Your Hat in a Suitcase or Bag
STEP 1
Before packing your hat, ensure it’s completely dry. If it’s damp, allow it to dry fully before rolling — a hat that dries while folded may lose its original shape. Gently fold your packable hat in half lengthwise.
STEP 2
Once flattened, start from one side and gently roll your hat, smoothing out any creases as you go.
STEP 3
Your hat can remain rolled for up to one day — perfect for travel or a beach day. Once unrolled, it will return to its original condition. While our hats are designed to be travel-friendly, we recommend avoiding long-term storage in a rolled position. Do not store your packable hat in a plastic bag.
Packing Your Rigid Hat in a Suitcase
To keep your hat’s shape protected while travelling, follow these easy steps:
1. Place the hat upside down in your suitcase — crown down, brim facing up.
2. Fill the crown with soft clothing (like t-shirts, scarves, or swimwear) to help it hold its shape.
3. Surround the brim with more soft items to cushion it — avoid placing anything heavy on top.
4. Close your suitcase carefully, making sure the hat stays in place and isn’t squashed.
5. Once you arrive, remove the hat and let it rest in its natural shape before wearing.
