STORING YOUR HAT
While our hats are thoughtfully designed to be packable for travel, we recommend avoiding rolling or folding them for long periods of time. To preserve the shape of the brim, never store your hat resting on it. Instead, place it upside down on the crown, or ideally, keep it in a hat box to help maintain its structure and keep it dust-free. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. Avoid leaving your hat in your car — excessive heat can cause the straw to shrink or lose its shape. Avoid hanging it on a wall hook as this might affect the shape of the brim.
RESHAPING YOUR HAT
If your straw hat loses its form, you can gently reshape it using a warm iron on a low heat setting. Keep the iron moving, and use your fingers to massage the straw back to its original flat shape. Be sure to avoid high heat, as this can burn or damage the straw.
CLEANING YOUR HAT
To maintain its appearance, lightly brush your hat with a soft-bristled brush. For small marks or stains, gently clean with a baby wipe or a slightly damp cloth. For more stubborn stains, we recommend taking your hat to a professional cleaner.
Avoid getting your hat wet, as moisture can cause the straw to swell and lose its form.
TRAVELLING WITH YOUR HAT
To keep your hat in perfect shape while travelling, pack it thoughtfully. Gently fill the crown with soft clothing like t-shirts or undergarments to provide internal support. Lay the hat flat in your suitcase, then pack the rest of your clothing around the brim — ensuring nothing is placed directly on top of the crown.
